Job Description

Purity Health and Wellness is looking a friendly Registered Physiotherapist to join our team. Job duties would include assessing patient mobility and function, diagnosing physical problems, and developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.

These plans involve therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, education, and other modalities to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent future issues. Key responsibilities also include monitoring patient progress, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and educating patients on how to manage their conditions.



Patient assessment and diagnosis:

Perform comprehensive evaluations of a patient's physical abilities, movement, and medical history to develop a physiotherapy diagnosis.

Treatment planning and implementation:

Develop and carry out customized treatment plans using techniques like therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, massage, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation.

Patient education:

Advise patients on exercises, proper body mechanics, and strategies to manage their condition at home and prevent future injuries.

Progress monitoring:

Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust them as needed to ensure the patient is progressing toward their goals.
Job Duties

Educational requirements:

Possess the required degrees, which in many countries include a Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.

Licensing and certification:

Hold a valid license to practice physical therapy, and in many regions, have passed a national competency exam.

Clinical expertise:

Demonstrate intensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and rehabilitation equipment.

Empathy and communication:

Show empathy and compassion for patients, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to motivate them and clearly explain treatment plans.

Problem-solving:

Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to accurately diagnose complex conditions and create effective, individualized treatment plans.

Physical stamina and dexterity:

Maintain the physical stamina required for demonstrating exercises, maneuvering equipment, and assisting patients. Good manual dexterity is also necessary for administering hands-on therapy.

Attention to detail:

Exhibit a detail-oriented mindset to observe subtle changes in a patient's condition, track progress, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Teamwork:

Demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
We are looking for full time or part time hours evenings and weekends, flexible schedule, direct billing available. Experience with MVA's not required but beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: $50.42-$56.32 per hour
