Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated

Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA)

to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physiotherapists to support the delivery of personalized treatment plans for clients recovering from injuries, surgeries, and various physical conditions. Your responsibilities will include assisting with therapeutic exercises, preparing treatment areas, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and supporting daily clinic operations.

Duties

Assist patients with prescribed physiotherapy exercises and mobility activities under the supervision of a physiotherapist. Prepare and organize treatment areas and equipment before sessions Assist with the application of therapeutic modalities (e.g., hot/cold packs, ultrasound, TENS), as directed. Assist with appointment scheduling and billing Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes. Ensure linens are laundered and restocked as needed. Vacuum therapy rooms and common areas regularly to maintain cleanliness. Clean and sanitize washrooms and ensure supplies (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet paper) are stocked.

Experience

Completion of a recognized

Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) or Rehabilitation Assistant diploma program

or previous Physiotherapy background. First Aid and CPR certification (preferred). Knowledge of anatomy, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation principles. Previous experience working in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or clinical setting (e.g., through

clinical placements

or internships).
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
