The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics and a passion for teaching high school or college-level students. You will deliver personalized lessons, assist with assignments and exam prep, and help build students' confidence in the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring in physics.
Explain core topics such as motion, forces, energy, waves, electricity, magnetism, and modern physics.
Assist with homework, lab reports, test prep, and understanding of class materials.
Develop customized learning plans based on student assessments and goals.
Use real-world examples and visuals to enhance understanding of complex concepts.
Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and/or parents.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
Stay current with physics curriculum and teaching best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Engineering, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Strong understanding of high school and/or college-level physics.
Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to simplify and explain complex ideas clearly.
Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and digital tools (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AP Physics, IB Physics, or SAT Subject Test preparation.
Teaching certification or tutoring credentials.
Experience working with diverse learning needs and academic levels.
