The School
The role is within our School of Applied Science and Technology. The departments within the School are located on our Grande Prairie campus and our Fairview campus. The School offers a variety of programming in Science, Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Animal Sciences. Through this programming, we offer a variety of certificates, diplomas, university transfer courses, as well as a degree in computing science.
The Role
The Science Department is seeking a full-time physics instructor to teach physics and earth sciences for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position will commence August 15, 2025 and end on April 30, 2026.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Master of Science in Physics, with a PhD preferred. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:
Candidates must have a Masters in Physics/Engineering Physics. Relevant post-secondary teaching experience in physics and/or engineering is required.
Candidates must be able to apply different instructional strategies to meet the needs of students with different learning styles.
Knowledge of Northwestern Polytechnic courses and current educational technologies commonly found in classrooms (e.g., videoconferencing, D2L) are desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Highly qualified faculty, who seek to continuously improve instruction and meet the need of learners.
Student Focused.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
