Role Description Summary



We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Physician's Assistant to join our team. As an integral part of our multidisciplinary clinic, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to patients dealing with musculoskeletal conditions, spinal conditions, and sports-related injuries.

Duties & Responsibilities



1. Patient Assessment and Preventive Care



Conduct thorough, patient-centered assessments with an emphasis on preventive care and long-term health goals. Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and techniques, including advanced imaging, and personalized diagnostics, to uncover root causes and optimize treatment strategies. In consultation with specialists, recommend and order procedures, always considering the least invasive options first.

2. Collaborative and Integrative Care Planning



Work side-by-side with specialists to develop highly individualized treatment plans that incorporate cutting-edge medical technologies, holistic health practices, and integrative therapies. Collaborate with specialists to provide joint consultations to patients and families, ensuring the information is consistent and holistic. Be a key participant in daily interdisciplinary rounds, offering insights and collaborating on innovative treatment strategies that focus on both immediate medical concerns and long-term health outcomes.

3. Continuity of Care and Patient Advocacy



Serve as a dedicated point of contact for patients, ensuring continuous support throughout the healthcare process--from pre-procedure counseling to post-treatment recovery and long-term wellness. Use a proactive approach to referrals, ensuring that patients access the right specialist early, when needed, and experience seamless transitions.

4. Post-Procedure and Long-Term Outcome Optimization



Foster a proactive post-procedure care model, where the focus extends beyond recovery to optimizing long-term health outcomes and preventing future complications.

5. Clinical Innovation and Quality Improvement



Contribute to the refinement of clinical practices by sharing knowledge, patient outcomes, and innovative ideas that enhance care efficiency, patient satisfaction, and overall health optimization.

Qualifications & Skills:



Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program Certified as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the Physician Assistant Certification Council (or equivalent certifying body). Licensed and registered by the College of Physician Assistants of Ontario (CPAO). Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred. Strong clinical skills, with the ability to assess and respond to patient needs effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and clinic needs. Availability to work evenings and weekends as required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMRs) is a plus. Ability to uphold and maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling sensitive and confidential information. Working knowledge of healthcare administration, including regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.

Working Conditions:



Possibility of working evenings and weekends (Saturday's & Sunday's) to accommodate clinic needs. The role requires a degree of autonomy, strong communication, and collaboration within a dynamic, high-volume setting.

Physical & Psychological Health Requirements:



The role may involve physical activities, including long periods of standing, administrative duties, lifting or transferring patients, and moving medical equipment.
