Job Overview

A primary care physician is looking for a compassionate, capable, and highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their family medicine practice on a full-time, temporary basis, to cover a maternity leave.

You will be joining a supportive and collegial family medicine clinic led by an experienced supervising physician. We care for a diverse patient population and prioritize continuity of care, patient-centered service, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care under supervision, seeing patients approximately every 30 minutes Conduct both in-person and telephone appointments Complete administrative tasks related to patient care Training available in minor procedures such as cryotherapy, joint injections, Pap smears, and more

Qualifications

Must be a certified Physician Assistance (CCPA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Eligible to work in Ontario Experience in family medicine is preferred New graduates are welcome to apply Comfortable with both in-person and virtual care Strong interpersonal and clinical reasoning skills Experience with TELUS CHR EMR preferred
Start date: December 2025 or January 2026 (earlier start possible for training/transition)

Duration: Approximately 18 months (with some flexibility)

Location: Hybrid model - combination of in-person care and virtual visits
