Job Description

IMG (international medical graduate) needed for clinic in Etobicoke.Must be an international medical graduate this is MANDATORYThe IMG will perform a critical role in the walk-in clinic.Our goal is to treat patients professionally and compassionately through the delivery of exceptional customer service to our doctors and patients, a passion for cleanliness and performance, and ongoing learning, training, and development.The successful candidate is expected to undertake medical assistant duties, such as assessing the patient, preparing the patient for the doctor, working independently to communicate with the doctors via telemedicine, reception as necessary, and keeping a clean, quiet environment. Great interpersonal skills are required.Efficiency, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are required.Requirements:

  • Self-driven and motivated to learn new systems, optimize processes, increase efficiency and work independently
  • Proper preparation of the patient for their telemedicine visit, through triage, the conduction of the history, and limited physical exam
  • Knowledge of Oscar EMR and accuro EMR
  • Ensuring consistent inventory, through the daily stocking of exam rooms, fridges, filing cabinets
  • Ensuring a clean, quiet environment by cleaning/sanitizing exam rooms, common spaces, foyers, and bathrooms
  • Proper opening and/or closing of the clinic, as appropriate, with the Opening/Closing checklist
  • Assistance and registration of patients, invoicing and collecting payment
  • Record and document management
  • Reliable, punctual transportation to the clinic.
  • Other duties as required
It is understood that due to the nature of the clinic and the ongoing evolution of the industry, your title, and/or duties/responsibilities may change and evolve in accordance with the clinic's needs.Minimum Qualifications:
  • This role is suitable for an international medical graduate or internationally trained physician who is actively pursuing relicensing
  • Previous residency interviews in the US or Canada are an asset
  • Recent medical experience (within the last 5 years) is mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading)
  • Flexible with regards to availability
  • Committed and reliable with regards to attendance and punctuality
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Is enthusiastic about their work and is respectful of others. Works effectively in a team and independently
  • Passionate about personal learning, training, and ongoing development

  • 7 hour shift (2 days per week)

  • EMR: 1 year (preferred)

  • Medical doctor degree in any country (MANDATORY)
