POSITION SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant (PA) at CHEO works alongside the physician in the Emergency Department to provide care to the patients requiring these services. The PA integrates the skills and knowledge from medicine practice. The PA functions both autonomously and in collaboration with physicians and other health care providers to manage, in a comprehensive manner.
Working closely with the Emergency Interdisciplinary team, the physician assistant will participate in the management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department and will be involved in teaching and medication/treatment management.

RESUME DES FONCTIONS
L'adjoint ou adjointe au medecin de CHEO travaille aux cotes du medecin du service des urgences pour fournir des soins aux patients qui ont besoin de ces services. Le ou la titulaire integre les competences et les connaissances de la pratique de la medecine. L'adjoint ou adjointe au medecin travaille a la fois de maniere autonome et en collaboration avec des medecins et d'autres fournisseurs de soins de sante pour gerer, de maniere globale.
L'adjoint ou adjointe au medecin travaillera en etroite collaboration avec l'equipe interdisciplinaire d'urgence, participera a la prise en charge des patients qui se presenteront au service des urgences et participera a l'enseignement et a la gestion des medicaments/traitements.
