We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages. Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis while adhering to safety protocols. Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all specimens collected. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment. Educate patients on the blood draw process to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation. Monitor patients for any adverse reactions during and after the procedure. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate patient care. Follow all infection control procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Experience

Previous experience as a Phlebotomist or in a related healthcare role is preferred but not required. Certification from an accredited phlebotomy program is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures is a plus. Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care to patients. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and specimen handling.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-08-05
