Tasks

Repair, build and modify prosthetic or orthotic appliances or footwear Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts Plan menus and diet for individuals or groups under direction of dietition or nutritionist Assist in supervising personnel who prepare and serve food Bill third party insurers Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams Help patients complete menus Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products Assist dietitians with research in food, nutrition and food service systems Clean and restore ocular prostheses Interpret physician's specification Advise patients on loss of depth perception Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment
