Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to aseptic techniques. Provide excellent patient service by answering inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage and side effects. Maintain accurate patient records, including medication intake and administration details. Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care settings to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and healthcare professionals. Support the management of LTC pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Participate in inventory management, including ordering and restocking medications as needed. Uphold safety protocols and best practices within the pharmacy environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred, particularly in hospital or critical care settings. Familiarity with LTC pharmacy operations is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care. Proficiency in aseptic technique for IV infusion preparation. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
