We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and dispensing of customized medications, maintain accurate records, and ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in compounding and preparing personalized medications.
- Accurately measure, weigh, and mix ingredients as per prescriptions.
- Maintain and manage laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Label and package compounded medications appropriately.
- Follow all safety protocols and quality control standards.
- Maintain detailed records of each compound and prescription.
- Communicate effectively with pharmacists and healthcare providers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician in Alberta.
- Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy or laboratory setting is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow precise instructions.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with compounding equipment and techniques (preferred).
