Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, FILLING PRESCRIPTIONS, and the ability to work effectively in a PHARMACY environment.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Enter and process prescriptions using

Filware

pharmacy management software. Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders for pharmaceuticals and supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient treatment plans and medication management. Organize and maintain pharmacy records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or in a similar role is preferred . Experience using Filware software is a MUST!! Familiarity with medical terminology and medication Dispensing processes is highly desirable. Experience working in an Independent Pharmacy is an advantage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
