We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring accurate medication management. Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly valued, along with strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately
Verify prescription information and ensure compliance with legal and safety standards
Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and organizing supplies
Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering medication guidance under supervision
Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals according to regulatory guidelines
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and documentation related to prescriptions
Skills
Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred, especially in hospital settings
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
Compassionate patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of pharmacy software systems is a plus
Certification or licensing as required by state or local regulations
