Intrepid Health Solutions (IHS) is looking for a dynamic Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team in Brampton.
At Intrepid Health Solutions we provide specialty medication services to patients, pharmacies, and physician offices.
Job Responsibilities

• Inventory Management
• Completing pharmaceutical calculations
• Check formulations and prescriptions for accuracy
• Assess prescriptions for completeness
• Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients that are required for compounding
• Labels final containers and packs orders for delivery
• Manage specialty clinic days & daily activities of the pharmacy including payer adjudication and medication filling
• Calibrate, monitor and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room
• Receive and place orders of medications, solutions and supplies on the shelves and maintain inventory
• Organize and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room
• Assist with duties assigned by pharmacist
• Bill third party insurers
• Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams
• Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate, enter client information in databases and prepare medications for clients
• Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products

• Knowledge of aseptic techniques is an asset
• Experience sterile compounding is an asset

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast pace environment
• Candidates must demonstrate communication & organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, computer literacy, time management skills and initiative.
