The Opportunity:





The Pharmacy Supervisor- Shipping & Receiving has the primary responsibility for supporting the Pharmacy Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy's shipping, receiving and delivery tasks. The Pharmacy Supervisor -- Shipping & Receiving acts as the main point of contact for dispensary and delivery staff and provides daily oversight and guidance to the pharmacy shipping and receiving staff to ensure that workflow is completed within required timelines. The Pharmacy

Supervisor-- Shipping & Receiving also works with management to address and resolve any shipping, receiving and delivery concerns.


A Day in the Life (What you will do here)

:




Supervise and perform daily pharmacy operation activities while ensuring compliance with established standard operating procedures and provincial/federal regulations and standards (e.g. NAPRA) Provide exemplary customer service to clients Resolve daily pharmacy operational issues Train, assess, mentor and lead the team Performance management of direct reports including hiring, one on one meetings, goal setting and evaluations Manage the payroll and scheduling of all direct reports Assist with the development & review of standard operating procedures and work instructions Identify, develop and assist with the implementation of continuous improvement projects to maximize operational efficiency/quality of service Attend and participate in staff meetings Maintain inventory of shipping materials, including reconditioning and rotation of reusable coolers, ice packs and data loggers Coordinates pharmacy inventory maintenance, including identifying items to be ordered, receiving and put away of stock, expiry date checks and stock rotation Schedule and perform inventory cycle count and assists with stock reconciliations across local Sentrex pharmacies Coordinates shipping and receiving activity between local Sentrex pharmacies as applicable Ensures accurate scanning/filing of pharmacy paperwork including delivery paperwork and prescription records Ensure safe and appropriate storage of medications Arrange courier shipments as required Deliver/pick up orders as required Prepares reports as required Support and participate in new pharmacy technology implementations and upgrades In the absence the Transportation Manager, provides direction to drivers and coordinates delivery schedule Monitors fridge temperatures, trouble shootsand reports any variances directly to pharmacy management Acts as one of the primary contacts for security and temperature alarms Assist with other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager within the scope of practice

What you need to ensure you are set up for success:




High school diploma Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting an asset Previous experience leading a team an asset Experience with Kroll and MS Office an asset Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to communicate in other languages an asset. Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to self-manage time, set daily priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently as well as within a team Ability to physical stand for extended periods of time, and to lift and move up to 50 pounds Troubleshooting and decision-making skills Strong attention to detail Strong planning and execution skills
