Job Description




Under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist, the student will assist with day to day operations of the pharmacy. This position is on-site at 9B Paton Street, St. Johns, NL, A1B 4S8. Pay rate - $17 per hour for 37.5 hour work week
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the pharmacy assistant in preparing medication shipments and shipment labels
  • Assists the pharmacy assistants in labeling of medications as allowed by law.
  • Assists the pharmacy assistant in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Assists the pharmacy assistant in filing and scanning documents.
  • Assists the pharmacy team in entering data in various software programs used at the pharmacy
  • Assists with ordering, receiving and storing medications and supplies in appropriate environment.
  • Answer telephones, forward calls, take messages and assist customers.
  • Cleans work areas routinely in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to perform all the physical duties and requirements of a general labor job.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
