Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy practices, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic environment, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings, especially with pediatrics and patient-centered services, is highly desirable.

Duties

Manage daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing, inventory control, and staff supervision Provide professional dispensing and clinical services in accordance with pharmacy regulations and policies Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies Provide leadership and training to pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative team environment Oversee medication procurement, storage, and documentation processes Lead, mentor, and supervise pharmacy assistants to ensure accuracy, safety, and workflow efficiency Collaborate with prescribers to ensure effective therapy management and patient well-being Monitor pharmacy workflow to improve efficiency and service quality Uphold patient confidentiality and maintain professional standards of ethics and care

Requirements

Valid pharmacist license in Manitoba Proven experience in a pharmacy setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory compliance Prior experience managing pharmacy staff and operations is highly desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $70.00-$85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
