We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient dispensing of medications, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and provide exceptional patient care. This leadership role requires a strong background in hospital or acute care settings, with a focus on pediatrics and medication administration. The Pharmacy Manager will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmacy services and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and safety standards Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate medication therapy management and patient care plans Maintain accurate documentation for all medication transactions and regulatory reporting Implement quality assurance programs to monitor medication safety and effectiveness Train and mentor staff on new procedures, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols Ensure the pharmacy complies with all federal, state, and local regulations governing medication handling and patient privacy

Skills

Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings, with a strong understanding of patient care workflows Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and pharmacy software systems Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively Strong organizational skills to handle inventory management and regulatory documentation Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare professionals, patients, and regulatory bodies Compassionate approach to patient care, especially in pediatrics or specialized units where sensitive medication management is required
