We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital and acute care settings, with a focus on patient-centered services. This leadership role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and delivering exceptional medication management and patient care. The Pharmacy Manager will play a vital role in coordinating medication distribution, supervising pharmacy technicians, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Duties
Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient medication dispensing and inventory management
Oversee medication administration processes in compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
Lead and train pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, to maintain high-quality patient care
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop medication plans tailored to patient needs
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including federal and state pharmacy laws
Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, medication records, and inventory logs
Monitor drug utilization patterns to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
Implement policies for medication safety, error prevention, and quality assurance
Stay current with advances in pharmacology, medical terminology, and treatment protocols relevant to pediatrics and acute care
Requirements
Valid pharmacist license with active registration in the state of practice
Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care standards
Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a multidisciplinary team effectively
