Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations within a healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical practices, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and coordinating medication distribution to support optimal patient outcomes. Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings, especially pediatrics, is highly desirable.

Duties

Supervise daily pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and inventory management Lead and train pharmacy staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations and hospital policies Manage medication procurement, storage, and distribution processes efficiently Oversee patient medication administration processes and provide guidance on complex cases Maintain accurate documentation of prescriptions, inventory logs, and regulatory reports Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support comprehensive patient care strategies Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services and patient safety

Skills

Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures Excellent leadership and team management abilities Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and electronic health records (EHR) platforms Knowledge of pediatric medication management is a plus Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27 - 37 per week
