As Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, and lead a dedicated team in providing outstanding patient care. As Co-Owner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the pharmacy, driving growth through strategic planning, community engagement, and innovative services.
Key Responsibilities as Pharmacy Manager & Co-Owner:
Oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with provincial regulatory guidelines.
Foster a collaborative, supportive, and safe work environment for staff and patients alike.
Lead, mentor, and develop the pharmacy team, promoting professional excellence, customer service, and patient-centered care. Develop and implement strategic business plans and marketing initiatives to strengthen the pharmacy's community presence and profitability.
Manage inventory control, purchasing, and loss prevention strategies.
Oversee billing processes, resolve related issues, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Plan and coordinate pharmacy clinics, health programs, and community outreach initiatives.
Conduct regular staff meetings to identify opportunities, address challenges, and align team goals.
Perform human resource functions including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
Report on financial performance, prescription volumes, and clinical prescribing statistics.
The role involves working during regular business hours with some travel to outreach areas for health clinics and service delivery
As Co-Owner:
Participate in strategic decision-making and long-term planning for the business.
Contribute to financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit-sharing.
Collaborate on opportunities for service expansion, partnerships, and innovative patient care programs.
Share accountability for the overall success, sustainability, and growth of the pharmacy.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with a valid license in good standing.
Injection and Minor Ailment Prescribing certification preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and business planning.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
In-depth knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Business development and marketing experience considered an asset.
