Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Pharmacy Compounding Technician
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality compounded medications in accordance with established standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements, while supporting pharmacists in daily compounding operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare non-sterile compounded medications (e.g., creams, ointments, capsules, suspensions) following master formulations and SOPs
Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and label pharmaceutical ingredients
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment
Document compounding records, logs, and quality control checks
Manage inventory of compounding ingredients, supplies, and equipment
Clean and maintain compounding equipment according to protocols
Assist pharmacists with compounding-related tasks and workflow coordination
Ensure compliance with provincial regulations, NAPRA standards, and pharmacy policies
Communicate effectively with pharmacists and team members regarding compounding needs and timelines
Qualifications & Requirements
Pharmacy Technician or Compounding Technician training preferred
Previous experience in non-sterile compounding is an asset
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to follow written formulations, procedures, and safety guidelines
Basic math and measurement skills
Good organizational and time-management skills
Comfortable working in a back-end pharmacy environment
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
