Job Summary


We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk to support our pharmacy operations. In this vital role, you will assist with patient service, medication processing, and administrative tasks within a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your dedication will help ensure smooth pharmacy workflows and exceptional patient care, contributing to our mission of trusted community support.

Duties



Greeting all customers with a warm and friendly attitude Assisting customers at the counter and providing prompt and courteous service Communicating appropriately with patients and answering the phone professionally Checking voice messages and directing information and/or questions to the appropriate individual should they not be able to assist directly Operating the register to handle cash and all other modes of payment (debit / credit / cheque / e-transfer / pre-authorized debit) including doing cash in and cash out Processing invoices for account receivables Organizing daily deliveries Accurately filing all prescriptions and any other documentation Managing the over-the-counter area including ordering, receiving, tagging, and stocking OTC products according to the planogram Assisting in drugs and supplies inventory management (receiving orders, placing orders, and stocking shelves) Checking shelves for expired products and disposing of old and expired medications as required in accordance with store policies Picking medications for Pharmacy Assistants from the shelves, along with other tasks required for them to prepare and fill prescriptions Work effectively as part of a pharmacy team and assist other staff members as needed Multi-task and recognize when additional help is required Work independently and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment

Skills



Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting. Experience working with pharmacy software programs; knowledge of Kroll is an asset. Strong communication and customer service skills. High degree of initiative, organizational skills, and time management ability. Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced work environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
