Duties

Greet patients and visitors with professionalism and courtesy Process payments accurately using point-of-sale systems Verify patient information and insurance details as needed Assist patients with medication pick-up and billing inquiries Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area Support pharmacy technicians or medical staff with administrative tasks when required Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and safety protocols Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate smooth patient flow

Qualifications

Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy cashier roles preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care practices is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Certification or experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous but not required Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
