We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Pharmacy Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and supporting the overall operations of the pharmacy. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they enter the pharmacy and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Experience with OLG Lottery Sales
Assist customers with inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or staff member as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Restock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed.
Support pharmacy staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy policies and procedures.
Handle customer complaints and issues with professionalism and patience.
Assist in maintaining the security and confidentiality of customer information.
Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous cashier or customer service experience, preferably in a retail or pharmacy setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently.
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking.
Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.20-$25.67 per hour
