Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care, particularly in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. Experience with medical terminology and medication administration is a plus, as you will be interacting with patients and assisting them with their needs.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases. Accurately process transactions using the cash register or point-of-sale system. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to enhance the customer experience. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely and responsibly. Assist patients with questions regarding medications or pharmacy services. Collaborate with pharmacy team to ensure proper medication administration when necessary. Stay informed about medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Uphold company policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and safety.

Requirements

Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as needed.
