Pharmacy Benefits Adjudicator

Full Time Temporary - Up to 1 Year Monday to Friday - 7 hours/day Edmonton, Alberta



Bigstone Health Commission in Edmonton, AB is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and dependable Pharmacy Benefits Adjudicator to join our talented Health Team. Duties and Responsibilities:

Assess and manually adjudicate pharmacy benefit requests. Act as an advocate for all BCN members of the health benefits program. Work with the members and service providers in a pleasant and efficient manner. Provide program information, advice, and assistance to members and service providers. Maintain database and provider files. Must be dependable and reliable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have excellent interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette. Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. Be extremely observant to detail and accuracy.

Education and Experience:

Pharmacy Assistant Certificate/Training or equivalent is a requirement. Certificate, Diploma, or Degree and or equivalent training and combined experience. Minimum 2 years work experience in an office/medical/or pharmacy setting. Knowledgeable on the Non-Insured Health Benefits programs is an asset. Experience with Microsoft Office programs. Standard First Aid with CPR.
