West Elgin Pharmacy is looking to hire a Part-Time or Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant or Technician. We are a rural community pharmacy located in West Lorne (between London and Chatham) under the PharmaChoice banner.

We have recently completed a full pharmacy relocation to a bread new building! Our new modern location is fully renovated to create a more spacious, state-of-the-art, and dynamic practice site.

Our store hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm, some weekend availability will be expected.

Job responsibilities

-Working in the dispensary

-Filling/counting prescriptions

-Maintaining accurate computerized patient profiles

-Answering phone calls

-Cashing patients out at the dispensary till

-Maintaining stock of pharmaceuticals, labels, containers, and other supplies within the pharmacy work area

-Reporting shortages and/or backorders of medications

-Assisting in the blister/compliance pack program

-Assessing which patients may benefit from additional pharmaceutical services (ie Minor Ailments, MedChecks, etc)

-Scheduling pharmaceutical services (Ie vaccines, Minor Ailments, MedChecks, etc)

-Cleaning

-All other reasonable dispensary tasks

Qualifications

-Pharmacy experience (1 to 3 years preferred)

-Compassion for patients

-Excellent written and communication skills

-Clinical problem solving

-Kroll proficiency (recommended)

-Injection trained and certified*

-Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) with the Ontario College of Pharmacists*

*only required if you are applying for the Pharmacy Technician Position, not required for Pharmacy Assistants

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
