Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced
Pharmacy Assistant
with a minimum of 3 years' experience to join our team starting
SEPTEMBER 15, 2025
. The ideal candidate is proficient in
Kroll software
, understands
PharmaCare policies
, and is well-versed in
BC College of Pharmacists regulations
. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer care are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Process prescriptions accurately using
Kroll Pharmacy Management Software
Handle
third-party billing and adjudication
Provide
exceptional customer service
both in-person and over the phone
Manage
inventory control
, including ordering, receiving, and restocking
Assist the pharmacist with day-to-day operations and workflow, including:
Preparing and labeling prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
Organizing prescription workflow and managing prescription queues
Prepackaging and counting medications for dispensing
Maintaining proper storage and labeling of medications
Gathering patient information and verifying medication history
Ensuring all prescriptions meet legal and regulatory requirements before dispensing
Monitoring stock levels and communicating shortages or medication recalls
Coordinating with prescribers for clarification or refill authorizations
Helping prepare compliance packaging (e.g., blister packs)
Keeping the dispensary clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies
Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with
BC College regulations
Stay updated on
PharmaCare policies
and apply them appropriately
Comply with privacy and confidentiality guidelines at all times
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of pharmacy assistant experience in a retail pharmacy setting
Proficient with
Kroll
Strong understanding of
adjudication procedures
Knowledge of
PharmaCare
and third-party payer policies
Familiar with
BC College of Pharmacists standards and documentation
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
Assets :
Experience with blister packaging or compliance packaging
Ability to speak a second language is an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
