Job Overview:
Part time position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. This position will focus on packaging medications in monthly blister packs for patients and putting medications in their proper spaces when our Tuesday and Thursday orders arrive. There will also be occasional front line duties such medication preparation and labelling in vials, answering phone calls, greeting in-store patients, and cashier tasks. Candidate must be available starting at 9am on weekdays. Shift length is negotiable. Weekend availability between 10-2 is preferred, although not every weekend will be required.
Duties:
- Perform medication packaging and labeling for unit dose distribution
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Prepare medication labels and ensure proper labeling of all medications
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Assist with medication inventory management, including checking for expired medications and proper storage
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and labeling
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
