Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant(Volunteer) to join our team. This is a Volunteer, unpaid Position. In this role, you will support pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting with medication administration, managing inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in a hospital or clinical setting.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Manage inventory levels, including ordering and restocking medications and supplies. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and safety protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing prescription requests.

Experience

Familiarity with medication administration processes and medical terminology is preferred. Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere are crucial for success in this position.
