Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as the ability to work effectively in a hospital or pharmacy setting.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and ensuring patients understand their medications. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless medication management for patients. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with staff and patients. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols within the pharmacy environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a hospital setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and support within the pharmacy operations.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$24.03 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 16 per week
