We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist with medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient interactions, ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings is preferred, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration. Responsibilities
Assist licensed pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
Manage inventory by stocking, labeling, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies
Prepare prescriptions for dispensing, including counting, labeling, and packaging medications
Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and patient information
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including proper storage and handling of medications
Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining documentation
Stay informed about new medications and updates in medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations
Qualifications
Previous hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable
Must have good working knowledge of Kroll Software
Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety standards
Prior experience in patient care is a plus but not required
Certification as a pharmacy technician or related training is advantageous but not mandatory
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 - 28 per week
