Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the safe and effective distribution of medications. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient service.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients in accordance with established protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times. Provide support in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. Answer patient inquiries regarding medication usage, side effects, and general pharmacy services. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Perform administrative tasks such as processing prescriptions, handling billing inquiries, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Skills

Previous experience in a community setting is highly desirable. Must have strong Kroll background and can do third party billing and adjudication independently Familiarity with pharmacy assistant duties and responsibilities is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Experience in patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs. Proficient in medication administration practices to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
