We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the pharmacy setting.
Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including filing and record keeping.
Participate in medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists when required.
Experience
Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Prior pharmacy technician experience is highly desirable.
Familiarity with patient care practices and protocols is essential.
Knowledge of medical terminology is necessary for effective communication within the healthcare team.
