Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team in the afternoon and evenings . In this role, you will support pharmacists in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration, as well as a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Maintain inventory levels by ordering and restocking medications and supplies as needed. Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information and medication details. Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures. Support patient care initiatives by educating patients on medication usage and potential side effects. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient treatment plans.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistance is required. Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare setting. Knowledge of medication administration practices is a valuable asset for this role. Experience in a hospital or clinical environment is advantageous, contributing to a better understanding of patient care dynamics.

Pay: $17.20-$23.00 per hour
