We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the pharmacy staff in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and have experience in a hospital or community pharmacy setting. Your contributions will directly impact patient health and safety by assisting with medication administration and inventory management.
Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Maintain an organized inventory of pharmaceuticals, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns regarding medications.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and safety protocols within the pharmacy.
Counting and filling medications and prepare blister packaging as well for medications.
Knowledge of Pharmacy software (WinRx) is an asset.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace.
Experience
Previous experience as a Pharmacy assistant is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare staff.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.
