Key Responsibilities:

  • Fill a variety of prescriptions efficiently and accurately to maintain workflow
  • Prepare compounds, mixtures and temperature control items
  • Package weekly blister pack medications
  • Package 7-day weekly cards of Narcotic/Controlled medications
  • Ensure daily workflow is prioritized to meet delivery timings
  • Ensure appropriate follow up on inventory issues
  • Ensure all products are labeled neatly and accurately to meet standards for LTC
  • Assist with regular counting/ reconciliation of Narcotic/Controlled drug inventory
  • Follow all operations procedures in dispensing department
  • Synchronization and collaboration with other departments
  • Ensure organization/cleanliness of work station and inventory shelves - check product expiry dates and rotate stock
  • Maintain and order appropriate consumable supplies and materials
  • Some involvement in prescription information management
  • Recognize liability on the outcomes of service provided
  • Assist with any other duties as required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where high attention to detail and accuracy is essential
  • Ability to stand all day, and maneuver quickly and consistently for extended periods of time
  • Positive attitude, cooperative, and proven team player
  • High School Diploma
Preferred
  • Exposure to Hospital or Long Term Care Pharmacy
  • Experience working in a pharmacy dispensing medications
  • Experience working with KROLL
