Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the medication dispensing process, ensuring patient safety, and providing exceptional patient care. This position is essential in maintaining the efficiency of pharmacy operations within a hospital or clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, medications, and inventory management. Provide excellent patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients. Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards of practice. Organize and maintain the pharmacy workspace to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.

Experience

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred but not required. Familiarity with medication administration processes is an asset. Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous. Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial for effective communication within the team.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
