We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by assisting pharmacists in providing excellent patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a clinic environment. The Pharmacy Assistant will be responsible for prescription inputting, filling, documentation, and accurate record-keeping.
Some Key Requirements:
MUST know Fillware(minimum of 1 year experience)
Have worked in a community pharmacy setting in Canada, for a minimum of 1 to 2 years (references will be required)
Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock and placing orders as necessary.
Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications.
Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards, including safety protocols.
Support medication administration processes, including labeling and packaging medications for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace to promote an efficient working environment.
Qualifications
Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the pharmacy setting.
Previous experience in patient care or a hospital environment is mandatory
Familiarity with medication administration processes is highly desirable.
A background as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus, and remuneration will be rewarded equally
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are required.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients and healthcare team members.
