CareRx is looking for a
Pharmacy Assistant (Entry level- Training Provided) Night Shift
to join our Pharmacy team in supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. The Pharmacy Assistant will assist with the preparation, packaging and organization of medication deliveries, while supporting daily operations in accordance with the Pharmacy Standards of Practice.

Role Accountabilities:
Operating medication dispensing and verification machines - Training will be provided
Re-allocation of medications
Maintaining and monitoring of pharmacy inventory when required
Pre-packaging medications when required using Pharmacy medication machinery
Miscellaneous support functions when required
Completes daily tasks in accordance with established workplace policies and procedures
Consults with members of the pharmacy management and registered pharmacy team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions
Follows all corporate regulations, policies and procedures at all times
Maintaining strict confidentiality and ethical standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Ability to effectively train/mentor pharmacy team members when required
What You Will Bring to The Team:
Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy experience an asset
Ability to lift up to 4.5 kg (10 lbs) on a regular basis
Ability to stand for periods of time as needed
Proven ability to foster strong partnerships with other team members
Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
Interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with
persons in a professional manner Skilled in critical thought processes and be able to prioritize appropriately
Must demonstrate initiative and creativity
Self-directed requiring minimal supervision and able to work independently
Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
Must demonstrate good listening skills and be adaptable to changes in job environment

Compensation Range: $18 - $20/hour
with an additional
$2.50 per hour premium.
Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate's credentials and experience.
Location:
This is on-site role at our Oakville Pharmacy- 3430 Superior Ct, Oakville, ON L6L 0C4 and follows a five-day workweek.
Opportunity:
This is a current existing position located in a closed-door pharmacy and requires no patient contact.
Hours:
This is a Full-Time position, Sunday to Thursday from 11:00 pm - 7:00 am.
