Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. This position involves assisting with patient care, medication administration, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients. Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications. Maintain accurate inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring timely reordering when necessary. Process prescription orders, including verifying patient information and medication details. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients. Support medication administration processes within hospital settings as required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks effectively. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes within the pharmacy setting. Experience with Kroll and prior experience in Pharmacy Assistant positions or similar

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
