Description:

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will be responsible for the packaging, distributing, shipping medications and the management and replenishment of medication inventory levels under the general supervision of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:

To ensure your skills and qualifications are considered, please attach a resume and cover letter with your application. 1 year or more Oncology practice experience. Required to stand and or sit for long periods at a time. Required to work with arms extended for sustained periods of time. Required to lift up to 30lbs and occasionally 50lbs, push/pull carts, repetitive bending. Good organizational, problem-solving and decision-making ability. Displays professionalism, tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, self-motivated and able to demonstrate effective service attitude. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Recent retail or hospital pharmacy experience acceptable to the employer preferred. Knowledge of various office equipment, unit dose packaging equipment, Pyxis and pharmaceutical compounding equipment preferred. Knowledge of Pharmacy Drug Formulary preferred. Experience with Connect Care, BDM computer program and Canada Post Software preferred.
