Pharmacy Assistant

Job Description

Position is open for a pharmacy assistant to help with everyday functioning of the pharmacy such as entering prescriptions, filling prescriptions, and administrative duties. Must be flexible to work weekday evenings and weekends.

Must be highly motivated, intelligent and willing to learn. I enjoy teaching new employees.

There is a very high learning curve here. You must be prepared to study and learn the software and operations. If you have little prior pharmacy experience, the learning curve will be even higher.

Responsibilities include:

Counting and filling prescriptions Cashier duties Receiving and stocking inventory Answering the phone Cleaning up and other maintenance duties Filing, scanning, and other administrative paperwork
No temporary summer positions. The candidate is required for a long term commitment.

Must speak English fluently.

Must have prior experience in a pharmacy or in a customer service setting.

Knowledge of Nexxsys or PropelRx is an asset.
