We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our wonderful team at Lorraine's Pharmasave!

An ideal candidate will have previous customer service and pharmacy experience. Wage will be determined based on previous pharmacy experience. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the company based on performance.

Wages starting at $18-20 per hour based on experience!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Excellent customer service skills are required, greet customers promptly and gather prescriptions to be handed out Answer telephone, ensuring that appropriate telephone etiquette is used at all times and handling customer inquiries Enter repeat prescription orders Manage incoming faxes Data entry for new prescriptions Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements, including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws

Requirements

1-2 years direct experience is an asset. Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant is preferred but not required (we can train the right person with the right personality, work ethic, and transferable skills, even if they do not have pharmacy experience). Written and verbal skills of English. Attentive to details. Confidentiality and privacy required at all times. Ability to effectively communicate with the public at large, potentially overcome language barriers while demonstrating genuine care and concern. Experience with Nexxsys/Propel Rx software is an asset.

Work Conditions

Manual dexterity required. Interacts with employees, management and the public at large. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Sitting, standing, bending and walking. Repetitive work. Weekend availability.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
