As a
Pharmacist,
you will ensure compliance with Canadian laws and Health Canada requirements for the wholesale distribution of drugs, in line with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and the Food and Drugs Act and Regulations
.
The Pharmacist provides professional oversight to safeguard the quality, integrity and safety of medicines distributed to licensed customers.

Your duties will include, although are not limited to:
Ensure Wholesale operations comply with Health Canada requirements including establishment licensing and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
Support in maintaining compliance with the Food and Drugs Act, Controlled and Substances Act and related regulations.
Review and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to the handling and distribution of pharmaceuticals
Assist with inspections, audits and regulatory submissions.
Oversee the receipt, storage, handling and distribution of drugs to ensure they meet quality standards
Monitor and document temperature and environmental controls for drug storage and transportation
Provide pharmaceutical and regulatory expertise to operational and commercial teams
Verify pharmaceutical shipments are supplied only to licensed customers.
Ensure compliance with requirements for controlled substances, narcotics and targeted substances
Respond to inquiries from customers, regulators and suppliers regarding product safety, storage and distribution
Ensure accurate record keeping and traceability of all distributed products.
Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
Licensed Pharmacist, in good standing, in the province of responsibility.
Strong knowledge of Health Canada regulatory requirements, GDP, as they apply to drug wholesaling.
Understanding on Controlled Drugs and Substance Regulations (CDSR) and related compliance requirements
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with regulatory authorities, suppliers and internal teams
Hours are negotiable, offering flexibility to suit both the business and individual
