Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care, particularly in pediatrics and acute care settings. The Pharmacist will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care in a hospital environment.

Duties

Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications. Prepare and dispense medications while adhering to safety protocols. Provide patient education on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive medication management plans. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapy as necessary. Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient profiles. Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacy care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy department.

Experience

A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required. Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred. Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with pediatric pharmacotherapy is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
