Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert consultation to patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. This role requires a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and medication administration, with experience in hospital or acute care settings preferred. The Pharmacist will play a vital role in promoting health and safety within our facility by delivering exceptional pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review patient medication plans Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards related to pharmacy operations Maintain detailed records of prescriptions dispensed and patient interactions Monitor inventory levels and order pharmaceuticals as needed to ensure adequate stock Educate patients on medication adherence and health management strategies Assist in training pharmacy interns or new staff members as needed

Skills

Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings is highly desirable Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and pharmaceutical regulations Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including pediatrics when applicable Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in dispensing medications Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices

Pay: $85.00 per hour
