We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert consultation to patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical therapies. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, adherence to medical standards, and excellent communication skills. Experience in hospital settings, acute care, or pediatrics is highly valued, along with a solid understanding of medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
Duties
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physicians' orders
Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to patients and healthcare staff
Monitor patient responses to medication therapies and adjust prescriptions as necessary in collaboration with healthcare providers
Maintain detailed and accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions
Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and health regulations related to pharmacy operations
Educate patients on proper medication storage, administration, and adherence strategies
Collaborate with medical teams to develop comprehensive patient care plans involving medication management
Oversee inventory management, including ordering, storage, and expiration tracking of pharmaceuticals
Qualifications
Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice
Knowledge of pediatrics and patient care best practices is a plus
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
Ability to work accurately under pressure in fast-paced environments
